DNB series non-isolated bidirectional DC/DC converter
DNB series non-isolated bidirectional DC/DC converter

Overview

8-phase interleaved Buck-Boost topology with 45° phase shift per phase and bidirectional power flow. SiC devices for low switching loss, switching frequency up to 70 kHz and ultra-low output current ripple. Peak efficiency above 98.5% with soft-switching design, high power density and good EMC performance.

Key features

  • Bidirectional power flow — energy moves both ways between buses
  • Galvanic isolation between control circuit and power stage
  • SiC devices, switching frequency up to 70 kHz
  • Operating modes: bidirectional CV, CC on the low side, CP on both sides

Isolated DC-DC first, then the coolant piping

The 100 Ω/V and 500 Ω/V rules come from touch-safety limits, not from the converter. Worked numbers for a 500 V stack on an 800 V bus, and what they mean for hose length and rigid tube.
